Hand Therapy Clinic
Hand therapy is used for rehabilitation of the hand and wrist. Hand Therapists provide therapeutic interventions to improve hand function and help you participate in everyday activities.
Some of the services our clinic provides are:
- Treatment and education of new hand injuries and post-operative conditions
- Therapy exercises to restore your hand function and strength
- Custom hand splinting
- Pre-fabricated hand splint fitting
- Scar management
Splints
Your therapist may recommend the use of a splint. Splints are not covered by OHIP. You will be required to pay for the cost of splints at the end of your appointment. Splints can range from $15.00 to $100.00. Some insurance companies reimburse for the cost of splints. Lakeridge Health does not bill insurance companies directly for splints. Please contact your insurance company to obtain coverage details.
Our clinics offer in-person, virtual and telephone appointments.
