Continuing to Build A Strong, Integrated, Regional Health-Care System

In 2023/2024, Lakeridge Health took bold steps to weave a seamless tapestry of care across Durham Region towards our vision of One System. Best Health. We harnessed the power of data and forged innovative partnerships to tackle systemic challenges like Emergency Department (ED) wait times and surgical delays, especially in rural areas. Our aim? Not just to improve health equity, but to strengthen the overall quality of life for every resident by ensuring unparalleled access to essential health-care services.

Taking Bold Steps In Our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Anti-Racism

Over the last year, we elevated our commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility, and anti-racism (IDEAA) through the launch of our IDEAA Multi-Year Action Plan. This transformative strategy sets the foundation to embed an IDEAA lens into everything we do and create an environment where every individual feels valued and respected.

We’re committed to putting tangible changes in place and developing measurable solutions that will make a real difference to those who look to us for care, as well as those who provide it.
