First baby born in Durham Region in 2025 Durham Region – New Year’s Day has brought good news with the arrival of the first baby of 2025 in Durham Region born at Oshawa Hospital at 1:56 a.m.
Proud parents Navethra Goviandarasu and Rathnagiri Athiannan are excited to welcome their first child, a female, who weighed five pounds, twelve ounces at birth. The family is still deciding on the child’s name.
