Dining

Our dining service aims to provide a healthy and enjoyable experience for every resident, as well as meet their nutritional intake and improve clinical outcomes.

Our clean, comfortable and supportive dining environments foster resident well-being through individualized and responsive meal service. Each dining room is organized and equipped to provide relationship-centered nutritional care and to accommodate for any medical conditions or physical limitations.

Fresh meals are prepared daily. Residents are served three meals and three snacks every day. Based on their individualized nutritional care plan residents may receive texture modified or therapeutic diets.

Our menu is developed corporately to ensure we meet the residents' nutritional needs. It offers a wide variety of nutritious choices at every meal, and is modified semi-annually in the spring/summer and fall/winter with input from residents and their families.

Occupational and Physical Therapy

Lakeridge Garden’s physiotherapist and occupational therapist perform an assessment initially upon move-in and then quarterly for all residents. This enables the staff to promote and maintain the residents’ unique levels of mobility, function, and enable optimal participation and/or independence in their activities of daily living.

Recreation Therapy

With a focus on our residents and families, our Recreation Therapy team works tirelessly to create a unique program calendar each month.

By engaging residents in program suggestions, design, and implementation, we endeavor to meet our residents' physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs to the absolute best of our abilities.

Additional supports to the team include music therapy, Therapeutic Paws, weekly entertainment, and so much more.
