MyChart Central East Ontario offers you access to your health record for care you received at Lakeridge Health and any one of these hospitals located in our region:

  • Campbellford Memorial Hospital
  • Haliburton Highland Health Services
  • Northumberland Hills Hospital
  • Peterborough Regional Health Centre
  • Ross Memorial Hospital
  • Scarborough Health Network

MyChart allows you to:

  • View and print a list of your future and past appointments (view under ‘visits’)
  • View and print your bloodwork results
  • View and print your diagnostic imaging results (examples: x-rays, CT scans, MRIs)
  • View and print consult and other notes written by your healthcare team
  • Update, view and print a list of your medications

Bloodwork results, test results, and notes written by your physician(s) are available as far back back as March 2018.

Important Information During the Canada Post Strike 

MyChart Central East Ontario is also a secure, easy, and convenient way to check any outstanding balances and to pay by credit card.

For questions about any financial matters, please call 905-576-8711, extension 33203 to reach a member of our Accounts Receivable team Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

For patients expecting refund cheques sent by mail, they will be available at the Patient Accounts office at the Oshawa Hospital. The office is open Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00, or 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Please call 905-576-8711, extension 33269 prior to visiting, to ensure your cheque is there and staff are onsite to assist you.

What is MyChart Central East Ontario?

Lakeridge Health implemented a new patient portal on December 3, 2021. The new patient portal is called MyChart Central East Ontario. It is not the same MyChart we previously offered to patients. MyChart Central East Ontario is integrated with Epic – the electronic health record used by Lakeridge Health and the six other partner hospitals:

  • Campbellford Memorial Hospital
  • Haliburton Highland Health Services
  • Northumberland Hills Hospital
  • Peterborough Regional Health Centre
  • Ross Memorial Hospital
  • Scarborough Health Network

MyChart Central East Ontario is a free, secure, online tool offering you access to view and share your health record. You can choose to share your health record with family members/partners-in-care or members of your health-care team outside of Lakeridge Health.

How do I sign up for MyChart Central East Ontario?

You can sign up for the new MyChart Central East Ontario in a number of ways:

  • At an appointment with a Registration Clerk or a member of your health-care team.
  • By visiting mychart.ourepic.ca.
  • By using the activation code on your After Visit Summary or billing statement.

You can also download the MyChart app for your Apple or Android device from the App Store or Google Play Store. The correct app is the one with the white heart on a red folder. Choose the hospital where you receive care.

What do I do if I have a problem signing up for MyChart Central East Ontario?

Call the MyChart support line at 1-833-789-3742. Choose '3' for Lakeridge Health when prompted by the voicemail message or e-mail mychartinfo@lh.ca.

Is MyChart safe and secure?

Yes.

All of the hospitals in the Central East Region are committed to protecting the privacy of your health record against unauthorized access and use. You can help make sure your MyChart Central East Region account stays secure by using two-step verification. Two-step verification requires you to enter a verification code to verify your identity before completing log-in to MyChart.

You can choose to have the verification code sent to you by email or text. For more information, go to ‘menu,’ scroll down to ‘accounts settings,’ then click on ‘security settings.’ You can change your password if you are concerned your account has been accessed without your permission.

Is there a fee to use MyChart Central East Ontario?

There is no fee to use MyChart Central East Ontario. It is a free service for patients who received care at any hospital in the Central East Region.

Can I receive a new activation code if I cannot find it, let it expire, or did not receive it?

Your activation code expires after 30 days and is no longer valid after the first time you use it. This is a security feature. You can request a new activation code by:

  • Clicking the ‘sign up now’ button found on the MyChart log in page. Click on ‘no activation code’ when a new window opens. Click ‘submit’ after you fill in the form.
  • Calling our MyChart Support Line at 1-833-789-3742 to ask for a new activation code.
When will I see my test results in MyChart?

You will see your test results on MyChart once they are finalized and scheduled for release. Click on ‘test results’ to view your results. These results are seen in chronological order (arranged in the order they were completed). At the earliest, your results are scheduled for release to MyChart as listed below. You will only see your results after they are finalized.

Pathology/cytology results (examples: tissue and urine samples) are released after 10 days.

Diagnostic imaging reports are released after five days.

Bloodwork results are released as soon as they are finalized. Bloodwork results outside of the ‘normal’ range are released after five days. Not all results outside of the normal range are ‘abnormal’ or need follow up. This includes low (L) or high (H) results.

Genetics results are released after five days.

Will results of tests I have outside of the hospital be available on MyChart Central East Ontario?

No, results of blood work or diagnostic imaging tests you have outside of the hospital will not be seen on your MyChart Central East Ontario account. For example, you will not see blood work you have at a community lab on MyChart Central East Ontario.

How do I view my appointments on MyChart Central East Ontario?

You can see your upcoming appointments under ‘visits’ on MyChart. You will receive a 'text' with an appointment reminder two days before your scheduled appointment. You will only receive this if you have provided us with a cell phone number. You do not need a MyChart Central East Ontario account to receive these text reminders. You can update your ‘communication preferences’ on MyChart Central East Ontario. Look for 'communication preferences' in the MyChart Central East Ontario menu under ‘account settings.’

Sharing your health record on MyChart Central East Ontario

You can share your health record on MyChart with a family member(s). Sharing your health record allows your family member(s) to see all of the health records and information included in your MyChart Central East Ontario account.

Can I update my personal information in MyChart Central East Ontario?

Yes. Click ‘menu,’ scroll down to ‘account settings’ then click ‘personal information.’ You can update your address, phone number, email address, preferred name, and other personal details. This updates the same information in your health record at the hospital.

What should I do if any information in MyChart Central East Ontario is incorrect?

You can share your health record by requesting a one-time access code. Click on ‘menu,’ scroll down to ‘share my record’ then scroll down to ‘connect with hospitals and doctors.’ Click on ‘give one-time access with ‘Share Everywhere.’ Fill in the name of the person you want to request a ‘share code’ for. This code will expire after 60 minutes. You can also choose to download and email your results or notes.

Can a family member view my health record on MyChart Central East Ontario?

Yes. You can give proxy access to a family member allowing them to view your health record on MyChart. This person needs to be 18 years of age or older and have a MyChart Central East Ontario account.

To give proxy access to a family member:

  • Click on menu.
  • Scroll down to ‘share my record’ then click on ‘friends and family access.’
  • Click ‘invite someone,’
  • Complete the form to have an email invitation sent to your family member.
  • They need to have a MyChart account to accept this invitation to access your MyChart account
What if I forget my username or password?

You can:

Click the “forgot username?” or “forgot password?” link on the MyChart sign in page. You need to ‘verify’ your identity. You will be asked if you want the verification code sent to you by email or text.

I did not receive my two-step verification code. What should I do?

Check the spam or junk folders in your email. If the email with your code is not there, click ‘resend code.’ You may also choose to have the code sent by text. If you do not receive the email or text, it may be because your email address or cell phone number in your health record may not be correct. Call our MyChart Support Line at 1-833-789-3742 for help with this.

I was logged out of MyChart Central East Ontario. What happened?

You will be automatically logged out of your MyChart Central East Ontario account if you are not using it. We recommend you log out of MyChart if you need to leave your computer or mobile device for even a short period of time.

What do I do if I get locked out of my account?

Call the MyChart Support Line at 1-833-789-3742 to get back into your account.

I have a MyChart account at another hospital organization. Can I link my accounts together?

If you are a patient at another health-care organization using the same health record we are using, you can link your MyChart accounts together. This allows you to see your health records in one place. Click on ‘menu,’ scroll down to ‘share my record’ then scroll down to ‘connect with hospitals and doctors.’ Click on ‘link your account.’

Can I deactivate my MyChart account?

Yes. To deactivate your MyChart account:

Click ‘menu,’ scroll down to ‘security settings,’ click on ‘deactivate your account..

Call the MyChart Support Line at 1-833-789-3742 to deactivate your account.

How do I close the previous version of MyChart offered by Lakeridge Health?

You can close this 'old' MyChart account by calling 1-833-221-2202 or emailing support@mychart.ca. You need to provide your:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Email address used to create your account
  • OHIP number

You can choose to keep this MyChart account if it was combined with an account from another hospital.

What about PocketHealth? Do these systems work together?

There is no link between PocketHealth and MyChart. PocketHealth is a secure, online storage hub for medical imaging records. When you visit an imaging centre linked to PocketHealth, you can have access to a permanent, digital copy of your imaging record that can be shared a with any health-care professional.
