Volunteer

Volunteering at Lakeridge Health is an exciting opportunity to join others who share a desire to contribute to the health care of our community. Volunteers are an essential part of the Lakeridge Health team and help to create a caring, collaborative, and compassionate environment across our hospitals, community facilities, our long-term care home, Lakeridge Gardens, and our state-of-the-art Surgical Centre, the Jerry Coughlan Health & Wellness Centre.

At Lakeridge Health, we are dedicated to creating an environment that mirrors the diversity of Durham Region. We invite everyone in the community to join us in building a more diverse and inclusive group of volunteers to help shape a vibrant and inclusive community and support health-care in Durham Region. • Evening and weekend volunteer shifts are very limited.
  • Volunteer shifts are usually three to four hours in length.
  • Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one three-to-four-hour shift once a week for at least six months.
