Pediatric Respirologist

Lakeridge Health, a leader in healthcare delivery in Ontario, is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Respirologist to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing vital respiratory care to children and adolescents in the Durham Region while contributing to the advancement of pediatric medicine.

We are deeply committed to advocating for the health and well-being of children and youth, with a multidisciplinary approach to care that integrates leading-edge clinical expertise with compassionate patient support.

As a Pediatric Respirologist, you will deliver expert care to children and adolescents with respiratory disorders, working collaboratively with pediatricians and allied health professionals. You will also have a pivotal role in medical education and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultations, management, and comprehensive respiratory care for pediatric patients in the Durham Region.
  • Deliver outpatient services, including managing complex respiratory conditions.
  • Supervise and teach medical trainees, including residents, clinical clerks, and interprofessional learners from Queen’s University, University of Toronto, and other academic partners.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Pediatrics and subspecialty certification in Pediatric Respirology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • Exceptional clinical skills with the ability to provide compassionate, family-centered care.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring within healthcare setting.
