Pathologist (Full-Time)
Lakeridge Health is currently seeking applications for a full-time, permanent Pathologist to join our Laboratory Medicine Program. The start date for this position is negotiable, with a preferred start date of March 15, 2025. This opportunity will appeal to a pathologist who is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anatomical or General Pathology (or an equivalent qualification) and is eligible or licensed to practice medicine in Ontario. Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training in Gastrointestinal Pathology. Expertise in another area of surgical pathology, bioinformatics and/or digital pathology is an asset. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology, along with exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Our team includes pathologists, pathology assistants, technologists, and allied health professionals working together to provide accurate and timely diagnostic services. Each year, Lakeridge Health handles over 37,000 surgical pathology cases, including both benign and complex oncological cases, in collaboration with our partner hospitals and the Cancer Program. The Department of Laboratory Medicine at Lakeridge Health is collegial team of professionals with subspecialty-based practice model.
