Geriatrician
GERIATRICIAN
Located just 30 minutes east of Toronto, in beautiful Durham Region, Lakeridge Health is looking for a Geriatrician to join our team. The successful candidate will participate in our on-site multidisciplinary Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Clinic (GAIN) and will assist in performing inpatient consultations, as requested by our team of General Internists and Hospitalists. The Geriatric consultation service is also staffed by two Nurse practitioners to assist with initial inpatient assessments. There is also the ability to participate in affiliated, off-site outpatient clinics, (i.e., Memory impairment clinic).
We currently have a position available for one full-time Geriatrician to join a team of three Geriatricians. Participation in the General Medicine call schedule is not required, nor is there any MRP responsibilities.
Applicants must be licensed or eligible for a license to practice in Ontario with accreditation in Geriatrics by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent. A strong interest in teaching would be an asset as Lakeridge Health is associated with Queen’s University and the successful candidate is encouraged to pursue an academic appointment.
