General Surgeon – Full Time
Become part of a busy three-surgeon team at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, providing community General Surgery and Endoscopy.
This full-time opportunity, with an expected start date of June 1, 2022 (may be negotiable), offers a broad-based General Surgery practice in a picturesque small town within one hour of downtown Toronto. We are located in bright office space, directly across fro the hospital, and are part of a five-site corporation in association with the Durham Regional Cancer Centre. There will be an anticipated 1-in-3.5 on-call requirements. Skills in caesarean section are required. A one-month recognized training and certification course is available at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Teaching opportunities exist through our affiliation with the Queen’s University and University of Toronto Family Medicine Programs. Remuneration will be based on the OHIP fee for service schedule, with an added HOCC on-call stipend.
Applicants must have certification in General Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed in the Province of Ontario.
