Division Head, Internal Medicine
Lakeridge Health is seeking a Division Head of General Internal Medicine to lead the Division. This position will be combined with clinical practice in General Internal Medicine. The Division Head works to ensures access and service delivery for the residents of Durham Region for the specialty and supports the effective integration of pan-organization clinical services. The Division Head keeps abreast of the evolving best practice standards, provincial context, regional expectations and growth opportunities for their service and works with the Medical Director and with identified Clinical partner(s) to drive operational success and efficiency of the Division in alignment with the Strategic Vision.
The Division Head is responsibility for driving quality of care for the Division and will leverage the Quadruple Aim framework to support and enables the safe and effective delivery of high quality clinical services. The role is accountable to lead the development of the Division’s Quality Agenda and working with the Department Chief to support performance management and performance improvement for members of the Division. The Division Head supports the implementation of best practices, CME, and academic opportunities and is engaged in human resource planning.
A trusted clinician and physician leader, the Division Head must be an outstanding collaborator and communicator, promoting the mission and vision of the Division of Internal Medicine, the Department of Medicine and of the organization.

Prior success in leadership, education and/or research programs is highly desirable.
The successful applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and will be an experienced Physician who holds Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) certification in General Internal Medicine or other Medical Sub-Speciality.
