Lakeridge Health is currently inviting applications for Critical Care Clinical Assistants with strong communication and leadership skills to join a congenial team of Intensivists providing comprehensive care at Lakeridge Oshawa site.
The successful applicants must have a minimum of two months recent experience working in a Critical Care Unit or within an Emergency Resuscitation Team. Competency with resuscitation and central line procedures, accompanied with ACLS certification is required. The Clinical Assistant is supported in person and remotely while on shift by an Intensivist.
The successful candidate will provide care primarily based out of Lakeridge Health Oshawa site providing support and supervision to medical trainees through our partnerships with Queen’s University & University of Toronto. Call is shared equally amongst the members of the group, with a guaranteed number of shifts. This position does not require MRP responsibilities. Lakeridge Health offers competitive stipends combined with fee for service billings. Opportunities for those interested in continuing education are encouraged and supported.
The candidate must hold independent practice licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Fellowship training in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine is an asset but not required. The position start date is negotiable.
