Community Gastroenterologist

We are excited to offer a practice opportunity in the Division of Gastroenterology at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering; a community hospital with broad medical, critical care and surgical subspecialty supports.

The ideal candidate will practice general gastroenterology with an interest or subspecialty training in Hepatology, Nutrition or Therapeutic Endoscopy. You will be part of a collegial group that provides consultations to the ER, inpatient wards and community family doctors and other specialists. The hospital is supported by our Hospitalist and General Internal Medicine Programs. To further diversify your practice, you will have endoscopy opportunity at the newly constructed hospital affiliated Jerry Coughlan Health & Wellness Centre (JCHWC). The candidate will share access to endoscopy resources commensurate with qualifications and participate in a GI on-call schedule.

You will have teaching opportunities through the Lakeridge Health partnership with Queen’s University. Lakeridge Health offers many administrative options for those interested in pursuing physician leadership positions. You must be eligible for licensure in Ontario and be an experienced physician with RCPSC certification in Gastroenterology.
